About Conscious Eating And Lifestyle

By Paul McDonald

People simply eat, without thinking about the food they are eating, filling their stomach with too much food, without chewing it enough, and all these things cause digestion issues, and these lead to more serious health problems. Conscious eating and lifestyle that is in balance with nature can make a great difference. The first steps in this directions are really simple, and you can start applying these simple rules today.

You have to eat to be able to survive, but people often eat without thinking too much about it. They simply take a big bite, chew it shortly and swallow. This is the first problem. They do not realize that chewing produces saliva, and saliva is needed for their digestion. The teeth are only in your mouth, and this means that you have to chew your food while it is in your mouth.

Most people have some digestion problems simply because they don't chew their food. Some other health problems are also related to poor digestion, and just a small adjustment of your eating routine can easily solve this problem. Start with taking much smaller bites and chew them well before you swallow. Resulting saliva will improve your digestion immensely.

Conscious eating is not only about the amount of food you take or about chewing alone, it is about the type of food you consume, about your attitude about it all, as well of your awareness of your body and nature around you. The good thing about it is the taste. The fact is that your meals will become much tastier this way.

The goal of eating isn't to make you full. The main goal is to provide enough energy for your whole body and for all the things you have to do between meals. You probably don't need so much food, but you do need important substances to get you through the day. If you eat too much, it will only slow you down.

Be grateful for what you are and what you eat, enjoy in every bite, slowly and consciously, take a minute to rest after that, to improve your digestion. After taking a dinner, walk for a while. It will do you good, on several different ways. You will get thinner, healthier and more satisfied with yourself, filled with energy. All all this can be achieved simply by enjoying in your meals.

Change your bad habits and this will make a great difference. Maybe you will find it hard to chew so much at first, but it's only in your brain. The fact is that it is good for you, you just didn't make a habit out of it yet. When you do, it will be perfectly natural thing to do. Smaller amounts will be more than enough to keep your body in a fit condition.

Eating consciously and changing your habits comes naturally, once you open your mind to it. Listen to your body and you will soon learn what is good for you, and what is not. Simply avoid things that make you feel bad, when it comes to your meals, as well as when it comes to your lifestyle in general. You are what you eat, so think about it.
