The Big Audit On Your Life

By Evan Sanders

A long time ago, I had a teacher give us a holiday pep talk right before Thanksgiving.

Everything he said was amazing, but one piece stuck out to me.

He said that we must first accept who we are if we are going to make changes in our lives.

What did he really mean?

He meant that you should understand exactly where you are in life and know why you got there.

If you take it a few steps further, you have to look at your entire life in depth and understand where you can make improvements.

The other part of the equation is being able to see yourself as you are and not as you think you are.

Why is this important?

All of the truth and honesty is exactly what you need to build a solid life upon.

This process of going through self reflection and introspection allows you to create the life you've always wanted to live.

If you can stop avoiding the past, come to terms with it, and then start focusing on moving forward...that's how you start building a new life completely. But if you don't clean up your past you are asking for serious trouble.

So how do we actually do this audit in real terms?

The best way of doing this is to get a huge piece of paper and write out exactly where you are right now.

This will give you the experience of being able to see what your life's landscape looks like at the moment.

The next big question you have to ask yourself is, "Where do I want to be?"

The last part of all of this is that you have to see as far as you can see down the line and start creating a plan backwards from there.

If you do this piece by piece you can create milestones for yourself to build that battle plan of yours.

This will make you grounded in the future as you know what you are heading towards and what you want with your life.

Another aspect of the audit is understand what you don't know and what you do know. Making lists of all of the things you need to learn in order to become successful will always be a huge leg up for you.

So take a chunk of time out of your day to understand where you are exactly and where you need to be.

This will help you achieve your greatest dreams.

All of this is magic.
