How The Amazing Skateboard For Disabled Works

By James Howard

If PWDs can only sit and think wistfully of the things they could have done on skateboards, they now have friends performing for them. It is an idea that started out as a way to give young PWDs some more happiness. It has since bloomed into an advocacy for a lot of young skateboarders, their families and their communities in California.

The primary thing done was to organize a first group of skateboarding enthusiasts. The name they took is Skateboard For Disabled San Fernando, which clearly defines their mission and target recipients. Donors are encouraged to open their hearts and minds as the group performs for them and the cause they serve.

It is an advocacy that is now very well oriented to many kinds of disabled individuals. All skateboarding aficionados who once felt uncomfortable about their having more fun and less work can have a fulfilling way to spend their leisure time. And they do it for people in need in a way that they have always been happy with.

Sponsored targets are many and diverse, and these could be veterans groups or those who have autism. These more unfortunate people can think of normal things people have as luxuries they cannot have or afford, this non profit organization seeks to give them these luxuries. What they consider a natural, simple way of being is the path to help lift lives and spirits.

Youngsters today have become more aware, seeing more things that are needed for specific sectors of the populace. This cause also gives them a special kind of relevance and importance in society. And there can be no better way to achieve this than doing it with the thing they love doing.

This work has grown, with all the additional participants that have flocked under the skateboarding banner, friends, family and entire communities as mentioned. It is a great advocacy because of the familial system at work for the group work, which is an even more effective way of making their events have significant impact. Their beneficiaries, of course, are honored guests for their skate for charity events.

Missions that are accomplished with the spirit of fun have come and gone, but this new one has a very unique spin. Before the organization was put up, nobody had any idea how adherents of slacker philosophy could do more important work. The thought has no vanished, supplanted by the appreciation of this great new work.

The city San Fernando California is blessed twice by being the central location for charitable activities with a lot of potential adherents in this state. There are more plans underway, for intensifying their projects and results, the thing being that beneficiaries should be happy most if not all the time. The spirit of healing, the group has discovered, is something fed by happiness and overall spiritual well being.

Uplifting spirits here may be a matter of simply appreciating the excellent acrobatic stunts on skateboards. This will definitely be enhanced dramatically with the donations of things and services that the group provides beneficiaries. The simplicity becomes a shared grace for everyone concerned.
